The original Compute Module carried BCM2835 whereas the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 is equipped with the 1.2GHz BCM2837 in addition to an impressive 1GByte RAM. This performance of the CPU is 10 times that of the original processor that featured the CM1. The Raspberry Pi CM3 has been designed in accordance to the Raspberry Pi 3 hardware specs.
